Hello, my name is Jessica Shillito. We are based in East Lancashire, England. I have been involved with dogs all my life. It has been a family tradition to become breeders and produce quality stock. Both my grandparents, aunt and uncle were and are champion breeders in there chosen breeds. My grandparents bred German shepherds under the affix ashillam and were renowned champion breeders. My aunt and uncle first bred Yorkshire terriers but are now champion breeders of Lancashire Heelers, under the affix Simonsville. I attended my first show at the tender age of 18 months old. Since then I have been obsessed with the world of dogs. I have competed heavily in Junior handling and also judged handling classes and local match nights. I have been lucky enough to steward at many open and championship shows around the country. I am also a committee member of Burnley and District Canine Society. I have handled over 36 different breeds of dogs for other people at open, championship and breed club shows, ranging from Toy Poodles and Miniature Dachshunds to Newfoundlands and Great Danes.
Enough about me, let's talk about Gypsypoms Pomeranians. Here at Gypsypoms all our dogs are treat with love, respect and kindness. They are brought up in a loving home environment, where they rule the roost. I first saw a pom at a show when I was young, I fell in love with their cheeky, happy-go-lucky attitude and their ability to never keep still. I have never known a breed that is so loyal to their owner, whilst having them wrapped around their little paw. You'll never find two poms that are exactly alike, either in colour, cuteness or temperament. Somebody once said to me that once you have had a pom you'll never be without one. The only thing I can add to this, is that, you'll fall in love with the pom so much, you'll never have just one!!! All our poms are shown, handled and groomed by me, Jessica Shillito. Feel free to browse around this site and look at the photos of our little family.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Sheila Boyes of the Parapom kennels, for all her help and guidance but especially her friendship since coming into poms. And to my Aunt, Mrs Ginnette Simpson, of the Simonsville kennel, for all her help in teaching me all she knows about the world of dogs. I wouldn't have got to where I am today if it wasn't for her. Please look at my links page to see there sites.
